The S&P BSE Sensex index swung in a range of more than 400 points, between 37,831.35 and 38,235.94, during the day. The broader NSE Nifty 50 benchmark was rangebound at 11,181.00-11,305.40, switching between gains and losses compared to its previous close of 11,227.55. Gains in auto, IT and metal shares were offset by losses in financial and consumer goods stocks.
