Reliance Jio June Quarter Profit Nearly Triples To Rs 2,520 Crore
Edited by Sandeep Singh | Thursday July 30, 2020Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries' telecom arm, Reliance Jio Infocomm, on Thursday said its standalone net profit was at Rs 2,520 crore in the quarter ended June 30. That marked a nearly three-fold jump compared to its net profit of Rs 891 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. Reliance Jio's revenue from operations came in at Rs 16,557 crore in the April-June period, the telecom major said in a statement, up 33.71 per cent compared to the year-ago period. -
Reliance Industries Profit Rises 31% To Rs 13,233 Crore In June Quarter

The oil-to-telecom conglomerate had reported a net profit of Rs 10,104 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The profit beat analysts' estimates. Analysts had on average expected Reliance Industries' profit at Rs 7,457 crore, news agency Reuters reported citing Refinitiv data. -

VAT Cut To 16.5% In Delhi, Diesel To Be Cheaper By Over Rs 8: Arvind Kejriwal

Until now, the value added tax was at 30 per cent in Delhi. Currently, the rate of diesel is Rs 81.94 per litre in the metro, almost 2 per cent higher compared to petrol, which is at Rs 80.43 per litre. Diesel has remained more expensive than petrol in Delhi for past few weeks. -
